The winner will be announced on our website by January 19, 2011 and the winning photo will be featured in the 2011-12 ASU family calendar. The winner will also receive a special ASUPA polo shirt. All submissions will be displayed on our website.

Photos may be black and white or color
Professional photos from commercial studios not allowed
Photos should be of high quality — in focus, good contrast etc.
Acceptable formats for digital submissions include JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg) or GIF (.gif).
Photos that have been significantly altered will be disqualified.
Please include a brief description that includes the name and age of each person in the photo as well as the location and approximate date the photo was taken.
Entries will be judged by artistic expression, creativity and originality, quality of image and extent to which the image evokes the theme of the contest.

Submitted photos become the Property of the ASU Parents Association ("ASUPA") and will not be returned. All photos may be used for publishing, illustration, advertising, trade and/or promotion of the ASUPA on the ASU 2011-12 Family Calendar and/or any other ASUPA promotional materials without further authorization. ASUPA is permitted, although not obligated, to include submitter's name as a credit in connection with the image. Submitter waives any right of inspection or approval of the submitted photograph or any written copy attached prior to publication.
The submitter has obtained the express permission of all persons appearing in the photo prior to its submission. Submitter confirms all persons appearing agree to the terms and conditions set forth herein. If the photo contains a person who is currently a minor, a parental signature is required for submission of the photo (see below).
Submitter hereby releases and indemnifies ASUPA, its assigns, licensees and successors from any and all claims that may arise regarding the use of the submitted photograph.
The submitter understands that as a result of the submission, he or she will receive periodic emails from ASUPA. Every email will include an option to unsubscribe.
ASUPA has exclusive decision making authority over the submissions and may, without notice to submitter, refuse to consider any photograph including, but not limited to, those which portray inappropriate gestures, indecent exposure, risky behavior or any other offense as determined by the ASUPA.
If a contest participant no longer wishes for his/her submitted photo(s) to be used by ASUPA, s/he must contact Robin Hengl at (480)965-0830 or robin.hengl@asu.edu, Without cost to ASUPA, ASUPA will take reasonable steps to terminate further usage if possible.
